Des dels seus inicis, aquest espai esportiu es va convertir en referent de l&#8217;esport dels valencians: la pilota. Anys m\u00e9s tard va adquirir el sobrenom de \u201cLa Catedral de l\u2019escala i corda\u201d. Cap pilotari \u00e9s considerat primera figura sense haver triomfat abans en les seues lloses. Hui dia \u00e9s l&#8217;\u00fanic espai per al joc de la pilota valenciana a la ciutat de Val\u00e8ncia. Entre les grans figures que han triomfat en La Catedral citarem a Nel de Murla, Alberto Arnal \u201cQuart\u201d, Juliet d\u2019Alginet, Antoni Reig Ventura \u201cRovellet\u201d, Paco Cabanes \u201cGenov\u00e9s\u201d i, m\u00e9s recentment, Francesc Xavier Puchol i Catalunya \u201cPuchol II\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En 1976 es va realitzar una gran reforma: va passar a ser un espai cobert, amb llum artificial, marcadors electr\u00f2nics i graderies m\u00e9s c\u00f2modes. En 2015, despr\u00e9s d&#8217;uns mesos en qu\u00e8 es va t\u00e9mer per la superviv\u00e8ncia del trinquet, va ser adquirit i restaurat novament per un empresari valenci\u00e0. Finalment, el 7 d&#8217;octubre va reobrir les seues portes per a delit de tots els aficionats a aquest esport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Gastronomia i esport<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El 9 d&#8217;octubre de 2017 es va inaugurar l&#8217;espai gastron\u00f2mic que hui \u00e9s Pelayo Gastro Trinquet. El restaurant, situat en l&#8217;avantsala del recinte esportiu, \u00e9s el pioner del Grup Gastro Trinquet a la ciutat de Val\u00e8ncia. Des de la seua inauguraci\u00f3 va despertar gran inter\u00e9s tant entre els ve\u00efns de Val\u00e8ncia com entre visitants i turistes. El conjunt escult\u00f2ric creat en fusta de vareta per l&#8217;artista faller Manolo Garc\u00eda presideix el sal\u00f3 i crea el marc perfecte per a gaudir de la cuina de Pablo Marg\u00f3s i Chimo Faubell, xef executiu del Grup i cap de cuina de Pelayo, respectivament. Si vols viure l&#8217;experi\u00e8ncia completa, gastron\u00f2mica i esportiva, els dijous i els dissabtes a la vesprada es disputen partits de pilota valenciana.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La nostra hist\u00f2ria La hist\u00f2ria d&#8217;un espai emblem\u00e0tic.
